I mean the business that's been here forever: the one that sponsored the Little League team, fixed your neighbor's roof after the storm, and helped grow the town it's in. The family who owns the place down the street and knows their customers by name. Those businesses built our towns, and too often they get lost behind the chains and the big-box stores with the biggest budgets.
So I built a directory where that doesn't happen. Every member gets the same card, the same size and the same page as anyone else here. Nobody can pay to push their neighbor down the list. There's one Community Sponsor per town, it's clearly labeled, and everything below it is equal.
The part I'm proudest of is putting back into the places we serve. Oklahoma Approved is a business, not a 501(c)(3), and I want to be upfront about that. Oklahoma Approved invests in local families, kids and animals in the towns we serve, and our impact page will show everything we do.
That's what our slogan means. From the Community, For the Community. It isn't a tagline to me. It's the whole reason we exist.
